Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist who currently competes with the UFC flyweight division. She is the elder sister of fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko, an experienced Muay Thai kickboxer, began her professional fight career during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko took the title with a unanimous victory over Suzane Miller. Antonina later won the Silver Medal in 2007, a Bronze Medal in 2008 and a Golden medal in 2011, as the IFMA Amateure Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia's professional debut came in 2003. In 2012, she took home her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she won the WMC World Championships. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas's fight in the final round of Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was victorious by unanimity. Antonina Shevchenko broke her first professional MMA record at KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She won 3-0 following the second-round TKO. The following two bouts were won by WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to concentrate on her kickboxing, and she came back in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a unanimous vote after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She quit the promotion and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko beat Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina utilized her striking techniques in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. Antonina was offered an UFC offer after her victory. Antonina took part in her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne Modafferi via split decision, after winning her first fight. Antonina rebounded from her loss to knock out Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the evening for this bout. Shevchenko went 2-2 in her subsequent three bouts. She beat Ariane Lipski but lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
